Despite its short run, Stargate Universe left a lasting impact on fans of the franchise and science fiction in general. Its complex characters, engaging storylines, and exploration of the unknown make it a memorable addition to the Stargate saga.
The story takes place after the events of Stargate Atlantis and follows a group of characters who are stranded on an Ancient ship, the Destiny, which is on a course that will take it to a distant part of the universe. The main characters include Colonel Everett Young (Louis Ferreira), Lieutenant Matthew Scott (Peter Moo), Dr. Nicholas Rush (Robert Carlyle), and Dr. Samantha Carter (Claudia Black), among others.
The series received praise for its visual effects, action sequences, and performances, particularly from Robert Carlyle and Claudia Black. However, it struggled with ratings and was eventually cancelled by Syfy.
