The story revolves around a young girl named Mija (played by Ahn Seo-hyun) who lives on a farm in a rural area of South Korea. Mija develops a strong bond with a giant mutant pig-like creature named Okja, which she has raised since it was a child. When a multinational corporation, led by the ruthless Mirandus (played by Tilda Swinton), tries to capture Okja for their own nefarious purposes, Mija embarks on a perilous journey to save her beloved friend.
