Specifically, higher levels of marital quality and emotional support were associated with better mood, while effective communication and conflict resolution strategies were linked to improved marital satisfaction. The qualitative analysis revealed themes related to the importance of respect, trust, and empathy in maintaining a healthy and positive relationship.
